I'm only 3 years from you. So leave a girlie alone .
{ NAME } Mimzy
{ PRONUNCIATION } Mim-Zee
{ GROUP } Loner
{ SPECIES } Leopard
{ APPEARANCE } Mimzy is very, very small. Dainty and delicate, she looks almost s though she could break if handled wrong. Her frame is skinny, yet not bony or overly so. This leopard is more lithe and agile then most, probably due to her size. Muscles are visible, but she is nowhere near bulky in her size. Almost any predator is bigger than Mimzy, and a good amount of prey, too, which makes it hard for her to find food, but she is usually able to fend for herself, and keep herself well fed. Flight, not fight, is what she does, though, when confronted by anything larger than her. Her paws are small with hard, leathery pads from traveling far. Mimzy's tail is extra long, swaying gently when she walks.
Her coat is a soft tawny yellow color. It is very long and silky, slightly fluffy, too. Mimzy's fur sticks to her body, though, so it is like an extra inch protecting her from the elements. Very soft to the touch, it is, yet not many every get close enough to feel the silky, smooth spot-patterned fur adorning her body. Like every other leopard, Mimzy's golden fur is patterned with dark spots, though Mimzy's spots vary from dark brown, almost black, to a light tan. The darkest spots cover most of Mimzy's body, where the light tan, nearly invisible spots, on her muzzle and legs, as well as the bottom of her tail, the tip of it to be exact.
Mimzy's eyes are a curious mix of green and yellow, making her eyes a startling lime color. Her eyes are flecked with light yellow, green and even a tad of gold. The darkest shade of lime is circling around her dark pupil, and the lime slowly gets lighter and lighter as it travels away from her pupils. They are quite beautiful, and one of Mimzy's most striking features.
Mimzy takes small, dainty steps, like a dancer. A very careful dancer, of course. For Mimzy is always careful about who is near her and where she is. When she spots something potentially dangerous, she will try to be as small as she can, -which is pretty darn small- tuck her tail between her legs, lower her head, and slink away from that threat as fast as possible. But when Mimzy is in the company of someone friendly, who means her no harm, her head will be tall, her tail tip touching the ground below her, and her muscles relaxed. There is quite a difference between a scared Mimzy and a happy Mimzy.
Though her size and eyes are quite curious, the oddest thing about this leopard is her voice. It sounds like the beginning of a song, gentle and light, yet powerful and brave. And that isn't even the oddest part! What is is the lilt she has. In the middle of a word, with no warning, her voice will suddenly go up a pitch and then back down. Though it is a pleasing sound, quite relaxing and such, it is odd and unknown, it is enough to make the blood thirstiest of beasts to stop in shock.
Overall, Mimzy is quite the beautiful creature. Though not many glimpse this pretty leopard, for it is a dangerous world for someone her size. In fact, Mimzy has yet to meet a leopard smaller than her, and Mimzy is smart enough not to go looking for trouble. This leopard prefers to lurk in the shadows, not dance in the savannah sun, lest she is with her friends.
{ PERSONALITY } Mimzy does not have a split personality, though those who do not understand the problem of being small may think so. For instance, when Mimzy is with someone who is friendly and kind, she will be happy and open. But when she is in a dangerous spot, or with someone that she doesn't trust, she will be submissive and scared.
That is why Mimzy prefers to stay away from others. It might seem like she's antisocial, but it is just her trying to survive. It's dangerous for a feline her size to be out in the open, unlike the gigantic lions and the larger leopards, and even the hyenas.
But once Mimzy is with someone she trusts, she is a truly enjoyable cat to be around. She is friendly, kind, caring, thoughtful, and very, very playful. This leopard can be like a cub, at times. Once she is with her friends, it seems as though she forgets she is tiny, and she is brave and courageous, doing things, saying things and going to places she wouldn't have normally gone.
In truth, Mimzy is actually a very social feline. She just rarely has time to show it.
{ HISTORY } Mimzy was the third child born in a litter of three, so Mimzy was youngest. She had two siblings; Tez and Talc. It was obvious she was the runt of the litter, for where Tez and Talc were healthy and strong, Mimzy was small, frail and week.
Her father was Fyanor, a gigantic leopard with a cold heart. Her mother, Keely, was a smaller leopard and was much kinder than the cub's father. Fyanor left, after the mating, so Talc, Tez, and Mimzy were all alone with Keely. Keely did her best to fend for her three cubs, but soon disastor struck.
When Keely had gone off to hunt, Tez had followed her, leaving Mimzy and Talc in the long grasses where Keely had left them. Talc, being adventurous and brave, dared Mimzy to climb a nearby tree. Mimzy refused, and said it was much too dangerous for them to be climbing a tree like that, before their mother had given them the okay.
Talc accused her of being a scaredy-cat, and said that he would climb the tree and show her how easy it was. Ignoring Mimzy's frantic protests, Talc scaled the tree, his claws digging in to find bumps and ridges that would help him up.
But he would've been better off had he listened to Mimzy, for he fell, like his young sister had told him. Amazingly he was only stunned, but that was all the time a large snake needed, and it swallowed him. Whole.
Keely was soon informed of this by a traumatized and crying Mimzy, and in her rush to get back to the tree, she left the two cubs behind. Now they were easy prey, and Mimzy and Tez ran quickly trying to reach their mother. But the more they ran the more they pulled animal's attention to them. And it was unlucky for them that a passing hyena had eagle eyes, and razor sharp teeth.
One snap, and there went Tez's front right leg. Keely had remembered her other cubs by then, and returned, her eyes blazing with a fire that only a deeply hurt and angry mother could possess. With one bite and a whack with her paw, claws extended, the hyena turned tail and ran, not wanted to deal with an angry mother.
Miraculously, Tez survived. But he was a three legged leopard, and Keely was forced to spend most of her time helping her wounded son. Mimzy was left to tag along, trying to help her brother in any way she could. But a three legged leopard was not a leopard that would live. And soon, Tez was killed.
This time, Mimzy was the one hunting, and Keely was trying to help Tez climb a tree. It was time he learned to, though how he was going to with three legs was something Keely nor Mimzy could fathom. A male lion happened to pass, a young male trying to prove his worth. And how could he pass up a three legged leopard?
Keely fought her best, Tez tried to protect himself, and Mimzy, who returned, fought valiantly, despite her size. They chased the lion off, but Tez was wounded. Bad. Blood was coming out of many cuts, and no matter how much Keely and Mimzy tried to stop the blood, and told him to hang on, and that it'd be alright, Tez had closed his amber eyes for the last time.
Heartbroken, Keely and Mimzy left his carcass, trying to run away from the two lost lives of Mimzy's brothers, and Keely's sons. Finally, Mimzy decided to leave. It was a decision that would break Keely's heart, but hopefully it would make her mother mate again, and try to raise another litter.
So Mimzy left, trying to stay hidden from the world for the time being.
{ OTHER } Nothing.
