[th]Home is were the heart is, isn't that the old saying? It was a risky quote, because for some, were is home? Were is your heart? Were does your loyalty lay? What is your purpose in life? To many, it was just words. To Spindle, it was longing. Does she have a heart? Of course, but does it feel used? No. Her mind was always clouded, as was her eyes. The land a reflection of what she couldn't have. She wanted to roam freely, not a worry, no weight on her shoulders. It was a shame she lacked all her confidence, but it wasn't her fault. Well, in her eyes, it is, but in reality, it isn't. Spindle loves in her own little dark gloomy world were the thunder clouds are thick and dark, and the rain never ceases. Always suffocate in the damp air, but to other eyes, its just as sunny as the beach. This is why she refuses to leave the isolated towering mountains.
In the mountains secluded snowy terrain, she felt safe. Rareley visitors came and if they did, they could share her deep dark feelings. Now, with her being belly low in deep cold snow, watching the hare prance about the white sheet. The snow rabbit left tracks in witch any predator could fallow, witch to Spindle, seemed very foolish. Does this creature wish its death? Placing a paw forward, she heard the crunch of snow nearby. Not her crunch, and not the rabbits. So who's?

Nanako was so totally focased on her prey, she failed to notice another creature of her kind stalking the same hare. She had come here for a good hunt, something she tended to not get back down in the lush forests, surprisingly. All animals sutible for prey were bigger than herself, for she was smaller than most and could not take down a monkey if she tried. Here, up in the snow-capped mountains that reached towards the heavens, although it was 'un-natural' for her to be up so high in such a frigid environment, Nara enjoyed the plentiful amount of smaller creatures such as snow-shoe hares and various types of fowl(which was rare but still there). Preferably, Nara would have stayed within her warm forest boundries but when her belly roared like the lions of the savannahs, it was time for a meal to put it at ease. Her silver, gray, and black fur matched the scenery perfectly and concealed her in its white blanket. She placed paw after white-tipped paw infront of her as she crept forward, snow crunching quietly as Nara got closer and closer to her long-earred 'friend'.

[th]The quiet foot falls continued, yet the prey seemed unaware. Even with those big ears, it could not hear the intruders steps. Yet Spindle could, and it seemed that the sound got louder and louder with every crunch.
A sickening crunch from a large animal. Perhaps a mountian goat? No, they wouldn't wander here. To open and flat for there liking. They were at a small field like area, thought it was small. Her heart thumped rapidly, so fast infact, she thought the other two might have heard it. If this creature thought it was getting her rabbit, they should think again. Her stomache ached, it hadn't had a decent catch in many months and this was the only prey small enough she could manage. Just as she readyed her haunches for the sprint, the rabbit lifted its head, caught a wiff of something or someone bolted away. I have to go before.. below her paw was a snapped twig. There are no trees or bushes here, so why jesus have you placed this twig here? what if the other creature heard?

She was so close....so close she could already taste the sweet meat of the rabbit rolling from her tongue down to her empty belly. That was, until the snap of a twig pierced the silent atmosphere. Nanako immediatly perked up, looking back into the direction where the crack had came from but heard the soud of thumping pawsteps ahead of her. By the time she looked to the hare again, it was already beginning to bound away. With an irritated snort, Nanako ignored whatever it was that had interrupted her hunt and took off full speed after her lunch, taking long bounds over the feet of snow and leaving deep trenches where her small body had slammed back to earth. Because of how small she was, she had fallen behind the hare and all that was left of its presence was the trail of long foot-steps where it had leaped away. After becoming covered with flurries of snow and panting from running after her prey, Nara finally stopped and watched with narrowed eyes, trying to catch her breath from the chase. Nara shook the left-over snow from her silver pelt and sat down on a less deep area of snow, feeling both frustrated and disappointed with herself that she had failed to capture her target. Without the proper energy, she had failed to get a much needed meal. But the small leopard was also confused and curious as to what had snapped that twig back when she was stalking the hare.

[th] OOC;; Sorry, i gotta go finish this skin Spindle burried herself into the snow, trying to hide. Although her coat was made to blend, when there was no wind or underbrush to hide it, she was like a blotch on the window. It was sad really, how such an innocent creature like herself was tormented everyday, by her own self. When said creature is actually normal in everyone elses eyes, its that more tragic. But enough of this. She was supposed to be hiding, and with all this worry racking her nerves, she wouldn't have heard any oncoming oot falls.

As she regained her breath, the faint crunch of snow could be heard down the snowy mountain side. Nanako turned her attention towards the direction the sound came from, tuffed ears sticking straight up and angled down and her dark, amber eyes scanned the bland, white landscape. Perhaps the same creature who startled my prey is still down there. If so, it's trying hard to conceal itself. I am sure a bit of exploring would do no harm. Nara slowly and carefully picked her way down the mountain, following her paw-prints and deep trenches so that she didn't make as much noise. All the while, she was on full alert, looking for any depressions or contrasting pelts against the white fluff. Hmm...Alright, let us focus. Nara, search for the slightest change in landscape....Ugh, I ,must stop speaking to myself. Nanako rolled her eyes at herself, shaking her head at disapproval of her weird habit of talking to herself more than she did her own family, when she was with them of course. When she was almost to the starting of the hunt, Nara stopped in mid-walk and looked around the area, remembering the smallest details that may have changed while she was turned away.Ah-ha! I have you now! She beamed triumphantly as Nara spotted a gray and black body almost completely buried in the ice-cold snow. Nara had to admit, if the furry creature had thought to cover over the disturbed area which it had dug into, she would have passed right by it. Now she was about a couple tail-lengths away from the unknown beast, but she felt no fear or apprhension. If the creature felt the need to hide itself, it was no real danger to her. I suppose I should call out to it so as not to frighten it too much. The small leopard reasoned, tipping her head to the side some as she once again spoke to herself. Standing straight now from her crouched position, Nanako called out to the hidden beast, "Greetings! May I be inquire of your buisness here?" "Words are this color!" These are thoughts!
