I'm only 6 years from you. So leave a guy alone .
{ NAME } Tau
{ PRONUNCIATION } Ta-ow
{ GROUP } N/A
{ SPECIES } Bobcat
{ APPEARANCE } A handsome middle-aged bob-cat, Tau has a pelt beautifully and perfectly mixed with the white of snow, orange of sunsets, brown of the earth, and silver of the stars. Instead of spots as his sister, Mara, Tau has black stripes on his legs, face, and down his back pointing to his short-tail. With rounded ears and beautifully curved neck/chin tufts that are signitures of the Bobcats, Tau is the poster child of bobcats. With a muscular build and slender structure, he is not only swift and agile but powerful right down to the paws. Black lines tear from the corners of his eyes, ending at the fur tufts and adding to his handsomely perfect appearance. One of his most prominent features is his gray-green eyes that serenely gaze at all and are alarmingly disarming.
{ PERSONALITY } Tau is a generally gentle and calm cat possesing a great deal of patience, that of which is twin sister, Mara, seems to lack. Even when he is offended or disrespected, Tau is able to control himself and keeps his composure, only driven to action whenever he is directly and dangerously threatened. Even then, sometimes, he refrains from striking another cat, not a great fan of violence. But all that changes when an innocent cat is taken advantage of or in danger, and especially when its his sister, Mara. Despite her ourbursts and stinging words, Tau has come to understand why his sister acts in such a way and accepts that its her way of showing she cares, and as a result he has been able to cultivate his present qualities and excercise them on a daily basis. After saving Mara from hunters, Tau has never left her side for long, respecting her independant spirit but also noting the fear that she wishes to conceal from the rest of the world, even from him. When she seems lost for words, Tau steps in and completes her thoughts almost perfectly and spares her any embarressment and humiliation and he is always ready to help his sister, no matter what the cost is. Though she is smaller, Tau admires her inner strength and fiery spirit and even though she doesnt realize it, he has learned from her and not only became her brother and teacher, but also her young pupil.
{ HISTORY } Tau and Mara were born to a little of four, one female and three males, two of which were dreadfully annoying and infuritating. His two brothers, one younger and one older, drove their family mad, particuarly Mara, whom they seemed to enjoy putting down and pointed out her lack of prominent Bobcat features.
For years, Tau only watched as Mara's insecurity and shame turned into frustration and spite, chilling her once warm, soft heart. He had to admit, the day Mara turned on their eldest was one of the highlights of the familys life. But of course, father didnt agree and had his dear daughter punished for her totally called for actions, which made her only colder. The jeering continued until one day, Tau was driven to defend his poor, misunderstood sibling. After the scuffle, which he was not punished for(father took pride in his sons), the other two didn't dare to abuse Mara again. Thus, their relationship began to blossom.
The years passed and the cubs grew into young, capable adults. While the other brothers left once they could go on their own, Tau and Mara stuck to their mother and father, leaving in seperate dens but still visiting their birthplace. Tau survived well on his own and managed to avoid territorial rivalries while gathering the things neccessary for life to continue. Tau managed to keep contact with Mara but her independance was florishing as she was not under the shadow of her parents nor toying brothers any longer. While out on a hunt, Tau caught scent of Mara and trailed her until he found her lying in a hunters cage, furiously clammering at the cage as she desperatly tried to free herself, slicing herself in her futile attempts. Moments later before he could get to her, the hunters came, took her by the scruff with a long, thick glove, and held her while the gun was aimed. Needless to say, once Tau got involved, those hunters would not return for awhile.
Nursing his stubborn sister back to health, Tau made sure her wounds healed and ate well enough. For almost a moon, Mara never left the cage, always claiming it was the bitter cold that kept her in but Tau knew she was terrified of being caught again. Since then, even well after her fears diminished, Tau and Mara have stuck together, inseperable, glued flank to flank by the three-fold cord of sibling-hood. Tau doesn't show it, but he is desperatly afraid of losing his sister and even though he can get them into some prediciments, he loves her to death and would do all in his power to ensure the survival of his dearly beloved sibling.
{ OTHER } TWINSSSSSS ;D
