I'm only 4 years from you. So leave a girl alone .
{ NAME } Dreamwalker
{ PRONUNCIATION } Dream - walker
{ GROUP } None
{ SPECIES } Cheetah
{ APPEARANCE } This young cheetah is a bit more scruffy than most of her species. Her short fur looks unkempt, like the female has just woken up and not bothered to groom her fur. The short fur is a bit longer on the back of her neck, where her ruff is. The fur on the back of her neck is also scruffy but it serves her quite well. Her ruff gives her neck a bit of protection since the fur is so thick and scruffy.
Quaich’s fur is the color of an albino, or very close to it. Her fur is an extremely pale yellow that looks white in the right light. She retains the spots of her species all over her body all the way down to her tail, although the spots get thicker towards the tip of her tail. The end of her tail alternates between the thick spots and the pale yellow color fading to white, the very tip of her tail is white in color... Or would be white if all the fur at the end wasn’t ripped out to make it bald. Three of Quaich’s paws are pale yellow, while her left front paw is white. This cheetah’s belly is white in color as well as around her muzzle. The most distinctive marking that Quaich has is a group of small, dark spots on the top of her head. A stripe-like spot begins a little lower than between her eyes and leads up to her head, then it groups in almost one huge spot (except that the main part of it is brown). Around the large grouping of spots are a few spaced out spots, she also has two spots above each eye like a rottweiler. Quaich also has the classic cheetah tear-drop marking. They are jet black and start at the corner of each eye, then lead down to the corners of her mouth.
Quaich’s eyes (or eye) is the are the classic color for a cheetah's. Her right eye is a beautiful gold color and even though she isn’t blind in it, it always seems to be unfocused, as if she is continuously daydreaming. Her other eye, the left one, would be gold as well but it has a white film over it. An obvious sign that it is blind; but that is no great thing to be observed as she has three scars going over that eye, one of those scars stretches all the way down to her neck. She also has another scar on the bridge of her nose.
{ PERSONALITY } Unlike what her one, unfocused, good eye would entail she isn’t always in a continuous daydream… She just used to be and the look has stuck on her. Although, she does tend to drift off into daydreams when she’s bored or doing something that doesn’t require her entire mind. She loves to imagine things for her amusement and over the years it has allowed for her to escape the tough world. When she sits with her unfocused eyes looking towards you (but never at you) others tend to think that she is stupid but she really has a good head on her shoulders if she would learn to think for herself. She always depends on others to make decisions for her, she doesn’t believe that she is capable of doing so correctly. This really affects her a lot when she is by herself, someone isn’t there twenty-four-seven so she has to think of things by herself sometimes, although she doesn’t particularly like it. In fact, she hates it and is afraid of doing so. So, she tends to try and stick with others once she meets them, much to their annoyance.
Quaich is really a very gentle animal, many would know that if they actually tried to be her friend. This cheetah tries to avoid hurting others if she can and would never raise her claw to another creature unless it was in someone else’s defense, or if someone she has pledged loyalty to told her to do so. She hates hurting others, whether it be physically or mentally, and she wouldn’t even come to her own defense even if another animal was about to rip out her throat. Sure, she may run but not fight back.
This cheetah is also very timid. She doesn’t like to try new things if she’s by herself and would happily just sit back in a situation without changing it. Even if the situation is a life-threatening or bad one. She won’t make the decision on her own to change it. It’s just not in her to try changing things on her own. If you force her or tell her to do something though, even if something as suicidal as swimming in a lake of crocodiles, she’ll do it. Quaich is a very loyal cat, she will stick with you till the end. Even if you aren’t her friend and are just using her. She will never abandon you for anything, even if someone else threatens her with death. She would gladly die if she believed that her death brought about something good for someone else.
{ HISTORY } Deep within the savannah was where Quaich started her life. She was born in a cheetah tribe, her father was the chief and she was destined to rule after him… Or she would have ruled if the tribe had not been attacked one day by a wandering band of rogues. On that day her whole tribe was annihilated and she was taken as a prisoner to be trained among them…
When she was taken, Quaich was only a baby, so she could be molded into any sort of personality that the band wanted. It just so happened that the band was trained to be a sort of “family”. They were trained that they all had each others backs and that there was no individual person. There was only the whole unit… Every member was even taught to not use words like “I”, “me”, “mine”, “my”. Instead of those words they were taught to use their given name to refer to themselves or to say “this one”. If one of the animal’s that they were training forgot their trained way of speaking then they were punished. It wasn’t uncommon for an animal’s tail to be plucked of fur or for them to receive claw-swipes to discipline them. However, Quaich was a very good student, she never forgot how to correctly speak within the band and she always did what others told her to do. The reason being was because she was captured as a mere cub… She didn’t know any different.
Other young animals within the tribe tended to avoid her, she had a tendency to be clingy and she had a strange, lost look in her eyes all the time. They didn’t know that the side effects of being raised as a cub within the band was a way to lose yourself. Was a way that you lost all sense of individuality… A way that you would become trapped within your own mind… Especially when you had no other companions, no one to keep you company, no one to chase away the loneliness that drove you closer inside yourself, that made you nothing but a walking dreamer that others told what to do. Then again, that was the main purpose of the band…
Quaich would have lived her life forever like that, if it hadn’t been for the arrival of a certain king cheetah… He was a young animal, four years like Quaich. He had been taken prisoner while out hunting, now he would be trained as a rogue with the rest of the unfortunate young animals. When he first arrived he was put under guard by Quaich. To the king cheetah, Quaich was a lovely beauty… Someone to make his incarceration go by quicker, however, when he tried to talk to her she was hardly responsive. For some reason her mind seemed elsewhere and the words he used seemed to confuse her. He nearly gave up with her until they were put in the same guard-watches and patrols. It would just be those two guarding and he set to work on talking to her…
At first, it was very difficult getting her to understand things and focus on him, but after a while she started coming out of herself. She was becoming less of a dream-walker (the young male had decided to start calling her that when he first met her) and more awake, although her eyes still retained the look she had always had.
One day, while the two were patrolling the king cheetah decided to tell Quaich where he had come from and how he planned to try and escape from his forced joined band. Quaich thought it was unsafe of him to try and leave but he convinced her that things would be fine, he also convinced her to come… That night, when the moon was high in the sky both cheetahs ran to try and escape. Things would have gone well to had not a patrol seen them running and had a cheetah with them also…
The cheetah in the patrol pounced on Quaich and wrestled her down, the king cheetah came back to try and help her but was set upon by the other members of the patrol. There, in that very spot the leader of the rogues came and killed the male cheetah. Then, he looked to Quaich. Before he killed her for trying to escape he ripped out the fur at the end of her tail like he was punishing her regularly. Then, he raked his forepaw across her face hard enough to jerk her head to the side and knock her out… He figured she was dead and left with the patrol… Little did he know that the young cheetah was still alive… That although she was blinded, scared, and scarred, she would live… And forge out a new life for herself…
{ OTHER } She talks very strangely.
The stars a line to bring me into view .
